Sarah is a Trustee of the Sir Simon Milton Foundation which is dedicated to delivering Simon’s vision of a society in which communities care, the young aspire and older people thrive. Its work includes supporting young people with training and education, providing scholarships, sponsoring a University Technical College and supporting Silver Sunday. Sarah served in Sir Simon’s Cabinet during his time as leader of Westminster City Council and he was a much-loved friend and mentor, and Godfather to her son, Hugo.

Sarah is also a Trustee of Mousetrap Theatre Projects which aims to bring the magic of theatre into the lives of young people, particularly those with limited means or opportunities.

Sarah previously served as a non-Executive Director of Westminster Primary Care Trust. As part of the strategic management board of an organisation delivering front-line health care to 250,000 people, she focussed on working to improve public health, including increasing levels of immunisation and reducing childhood obesity.

Sarah was a member of The Centre for Social Justice’s Children in Care Commission which made a series of recommendations on how to improve outcomes for children in care and care leavers.

Sarah has been a school governor for nearly 20 years.
